The successful candidate will provide monitoring and investigation support to Calgary’s finest entertainment venue, responsible for our four star hotel, 60,000 square foot casino, banquet centre, entertainment showroom, restaurants, pubs, and parking areas for the safety of patrons, staff, and protection of assets and gaming activities. Surveillance Investigators are required to have knowledge of all casino table games, company policy and procedures, law & evidence, criminal offences that occur in relation to casino properties, cheating at play, and use of CCTV camera equipment and technology. Good report writing skills are essential. In house and external training opportunities are available. This position requires individuals to work 10-12 hours on a compressed work schedule with 4 days on and 3 days off per week.
Candidates must be diligent, observant, and reliable, and must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing. A police clearance will be required along with successful registration as monitor room personnel though the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent required. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with post-secondary education in law enforcement, security, or police studies, and/or experience and knowledge of procedures and rules relating to casino table games. Equivalent amounts of previous security experience will be considered. Demonstrated ability to use computer hardware, software, and CCTV camera systems will be an asset. |

Security Officers are required to enforce age/access provisions within the casino, conduct patrols, perform customer assistance, respond to emergencies and medical calls, enforce the Trespass to Premises Act and Criminal Code, and liaise with Calgary Police, Fire and EMS. Good report writing skills are essential. In house and external training opportunities in security law, note taking, Pressure Point Control Tactics, and First Aid/CPR are available. This position requires individuals to work day, late evening, or overnight shifts of 10-12 hours on a compressed work schedule with 4 days on and 3 days off per week. Candidates must be diligent, observant, and reliable, must be physically capable of job tasks and must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing. A police clearance will be required along with successful registration as security guards though the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission. Valid driver's license & driver's abstract required for employment as well as completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with post-secondary education in law enforcement, security, or police studies, current First Aid or PPCT certification, previous security experience, or equivalent experience in a customer service environment.
